Penn Medicine celebrates Dr. Helen Octavia Dickens’ life

CG is pleased to honor Dr. Helen Octavia Dickens, the first Black woman to earn a Master’s of Medical Science degree at Penn Medicine. The exhibit, designed by CG’s Barbara Schwarzenbach displays the numerous accomplishments of this trailblazing activist.
