Virginia Gehshan, FSEGD

Founder, Principal Emeritus

Virginia, who has been instrumental in the success of some of CG’s largest and most complex projects, has decided to retire from her current role. However, she will continue her association with Cloud Gehshan Design in a new capacity as a Senior Advisor.

Throughout her distinguished career, Virginia has worked with a diverse range of clients, leading award-winning projects in signage and wayfinding, interpretive systems, digital displays, map design, and donor recognition. Her recent projects have spanned public parks and gardens, urban centers, college campuses, and medical facilities.

Alongside Jerome, she was honored with the 2010 Fellow Award from the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD). As a past president and board member of SEGD, Virginia has played a crucial role in advancing the profession, contributing to the development of client tools, the Process Guide, and authoring the SEGD Standard Form of Agreement.

Over 37 years, Jerome and Virginia have transformed Cloud Gehshan Design into a nationally recognized experiential design firm known for its imaginative, innovative, and award-winning design solutions. Their pioneering work in place branding, storytelling, and wayfinding strategies, with the unique support of environmental psychology, has left a lasting impact on numerous clients and public spaces.
