The Barnes Foundation’s world-famous art collection has arrived at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
To announce the arrival of the new museum CG designed a series of 130-foot long serpentine “ribbons” that wound through the trees on the Parkway. The installation previewed this world-renowned collection of impressionist and early modern art as well as its unique “wall ensembles” in which Albert Barnes personally combined paintings with metalwork, sculpture and decorative arts.
Notable: The signs were modular to allow for reconfiguration and updates during construction.
