A spectacular but complicated facility, the Kimmel Center located in Philadelphia hosts multiple events simultaneously.
Wayfinding signs welcome and guide guests on busy performance days. Nomenclature was clarified to assist visitors in finding their way to hidden sections and seats. Donor recognition is carefully integrated into architectural surfaces.
Identification and directional signs are internally illuminated, casting a warm glow and lighting the corridors by night.
Notable: The Kimmel Center was conceived of as another of Philadelphia’s public squares, welcoming pedestrians and passersby into its soaring spaces.
