Founded in 1866, Lebanon Valley College is a private liberal arts institution with 1,800 students and a progressive learning environment. Tucked away on 340 scenic and rural acres in Annville, Pennsylvania, LVC needed better visibility and navigation help for its first-time visitors. CG was hired to develop a comprehensive exterior signage and wayfinding program to address pedestrian and vehicular navigational issues. In addition, gateway signs reinforce the LVC identity and sense of arrival. The system aesthetic was extended to encompass interior & donor signage with the addition of LVC’s Arnold Health Professions Pavilion, dedicated in Summer 2018.
LVC requested a contemporary design vocabulary to reflect the school’s forward-thinking outlook. Viewing full-size mockups ensured that the design vocabulary and sign scale would fit into the campus’s beautifully maintained landscape.
