Midland is a progressive Midwestern city with an impressive collection of mid-century architecture. This recipient of the governor’s “Cool City” award is also home to Dow Chemical Company. Signage clearly defines three different retail centers within the city limits.
Echoing the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture of Alden B. Dow, the signage program expresses the city’s distinctive design heritage while guiding Midland’s many national and international visitors to its cultural and recreational attractions. It also reflects Midland’s legacy of creative thinkers.
Notable: Midland has a “tridge” (3-way bridge).
