CG worked with Penn and Class of 1962 representatives to enhance a major promenade in the heart of campus. CG integrated wit and wisdom from Benjamin Franklin into the walkway, which is also home to Penn’s beloved “Ben on the Bench” sculpture. Quotes from Poor Richard and Ben himself included some of his most famous observations about education, effort and conduct, and were selected to amuse students, parents and faculty.
CG tested numerous types of granite with different carving and fill techniques to determine the most successful option, traveling to the quarry to review the stone slabs and message placement in advance.
